Recession has been in the North American neighborhood for more than just a year. Government and citizens have been trying to avoid facing the reality, but now there is no denying it. Debt has causes people to sink further into despair, we begin to accept our fate, giving up all hope and preparing to start all over again. Why do we allow uncertainty into our lives when we don't have to?
I don't want to use the term God as it does offend some. There is a force in life, we can give it a name or refer to it as energy, but we all acknowledge, it's real. We need to take faith, use our ability to fight for the things we have worked for and things we value. We also need to lessen the load and prioritize, reducing massive possessions and emphasizing family unity and the people we love.
As I sit here and type, I ask myself what are the things I hold dearly. I own a home, a car, furniture I'm still paying for, bling, a family and friends. If I could only fight to protect the most precious, my family would be first on the list. Following my family, my focus would be the needs to sustain life, then my friends and lastly would be signs of prestige such as my home, furniture, car and bling.
Having added order to my priorities, I have all hope and faith that things will work out, but if challenged I will fight hard to maintain what I have, without looking to short term solutions or placing hope on chance. I will also rely on my faith to give me the strength and to keep moving ahead.
I encourage you, the reader to find your faith. Search deep inside yourself and find the energy within. It came with your first breath of life, it never left you and will always be there to serve you. Grasp onto hope and when you feel like you can not go on anymore, ask yourself if the thing you hold so dear, has lost it's value in your eyes. We have the power within, we just need to reach for it.
Don't be caught up in the recession, live and keep hope. Find your faith and lean on it to get you through the rough spots. Starting over is never an option, moving ahead and re-organizing is the only path you have to accept.
