Each month we are allocating $3,000 to pay for a pay-per-click campaign on one system and $2,500 on another system. How do we find out the best keywords using these two systems? Currently, the keywords we are using are not pulling the leads like we need.
Answer: First of all, let's analyze how you are coming up with the keywords. When you do your keyword research you want to make sure that you are using a few things which include: your brain and your competitors' keywords.
Follow these steps to determine the highest converting keywords:
Keyword Step #1: The first place to find your keywords is on Amazon. At Amazon type in your niche. Let's say the niche is real estate. The results will bring up everybody that has written a book about real estate. The results will contain the keywords you need. For example, take the names of all the authors and titles of the books and use them as keywords.
Bonus Tip: Amazon will also tell you what else people have searched for when they search for real estate. For example, they say, "People who bought this book also bought:" Those other search topics, authors, and book titles can also be keywords.
Keyword Step #2: Then take all those keywords and go to dictionary. and use it as a thesaurus. All the new words you find can be used as keywords.
Keyword Step #3: Then you want to go to the websites of all those authors, titles of books, and companies of those books. Those are all keywords.
Keyword Step #4: Then you want to find out the names of all the people that market those products. These are you competitors and you can use their keywords in your own campaign. You don't have to reinvent the wheel when you swipe their keywords.
Bonus Tip: You can go general with keywords, but be careful. A general keyword would be "real estate". One word keywords give you searchers. Two or three word keywords are more specific and will get you the individuals that would be most interested in your product. So having more specific keywords is a good idea.
Keyword Step #5: You also want to go to Google and find their keyword tool. It is called External Keyword tool. Put your keywords in this tool and it will come up with more keyword suggestions.
Keyword Step #6: You should also go to Click Bank. Type in your keyword, such as real estate, and find out what authors and products come up. These authors and products can be used as keywords. Find keywords in Click Bank in the same manner that you found keywords on Amazon.
Remember, using the right keywords will send you more targeted traffic.
