Well, green cleaning products to the rescue! You might not know it, but your home is full of natural ingredients that will keep your house clean and sparkling all throughout the year.
The first thing that most people forget to clean is air. You might react; say what? But air is very important and with all the pollution going on outside, you shouldn’t make do with poor quality air circulating in your home. So go out, go to your garden and find some plants that will thrive indoors. Not only will plants make your home look better and livelier, it will also clean your air in a subtle manner unlike air humidifiers. Plus, plants don’t need batteries or electricity to function; just good old plain water will do.
The next place you should check out is your kitchen. You better go and see if you have vinegar, preferably the white distilled kind. If you have then you’re in luck! Vinegar is an all around cleaner and deodorizer. Yes, you’ve read that right, deodorizer. Ironically, vinegar is known as a deodorizer that will definitely take away the stink in your sink. But not only that, it can also clean tiles, bathtubs, toilet bowls and even your countertops. But if your floor tiles are marble, beware. Marble doesn’t tolerate vinegar well, so it’s best to avoid cleaning your marble tiles with vinegar. Vinegar is very versatile and easy to use. All you have to do is mix one part vinegar and one part water and voila, you’ll have an instant cleaner and deodorizer. A pretty good deal, huh? Considering vinegar is very cheap, it is really effective.
The next thing you might find in your kitchen is lemons. When it comes to cooking, lemon is very versatile. It can add flavor to chicken, pork or any kind of meat. It will add a tangy and tart taste to your fresh salads. Plus, it looks very pretty as garnish on top of all your favorite meals, even on dessert. But the wonders that lemon can do, doesn’t stop there. Lemons are good household cleaners too. It can remove tough stains on your dirty laundry, it can clean your shower curtains and bathroom tiles, plus it leaves a really good smell. Another good wholesale cleaning product is grapefruit. But if you can buy grapefruit seed extract, the better. Just add a small amount to water and you can use that solution to clean walls, metal or any kind of surface. It is antiseptic, antifungal, etc. Another plus is that grapefruit seed extract isn’t poisonous, heck you can even add it your food.
