You know the instant you sit in the seat that this is the best car for you, but is it really? The test drive often becomes more of an enjoyable victory lap than an actually test. They buy it only to find out months later that maybe it isn't as great as they first thought at the dealership. Does It Have What You Need?
For most people, their vehicles have to have certain features. Other options are nice, but not a necessity. Take it on a hill, step on it suddenly, and take a tight corner in either direction.
This will tell you volumes about the power of the engine, the quality of the transmission, and how it handles. You will also want to pay attention to how well it brakes and if the steering is tight. Don't forget to pay attention to how it rides and whether it has any squeaks or other sounds that indicate a problem with the suspension system.
The test drive is the only opportunity to find out if you will truly be happy with a vehicle before it is too late. By giving it a thorough evaluation, you will know how comfortable it is, how well it drives, and whether it is in need of repairs.
