You just broke up with your girlfriend or your boyfriend, and several couples who are your friends ask you to go with them on a trip. What do you think? Will you go or not? Here is what I think.
Do you know all of them? If the answer is yes, here are some situations you may have during your trip. They will be very sweet to each other in front of you. Anything can hurt your feeling. You are not selfish but you just feel bad when you see it. It is very natural because it is human being. If you do not feel anything, that means you have problem. Will you accept it? Or will you just feel lonely in a big group of couples? Think about it and then ask you those questions and decide yourself. I myself experience this before, and find it very ridiculous. I was single then, not just broke up or anything. I had some friends then and they all had partners. We went on a trip together. Some of the couples really do not care about the fact I am the only one who is single there and sometimes make me feel very odd. It is not just they are too sweet to each other, but also some private things which they only should do it in their bedroom they did. From that on, I now decide never go travelling in a group of couples unless I have a partner with me.
The second question that I am going to ask you is that if they are your and your ex's friends? If they are your common friends, it may be harder. You must have had a lot of fun time sharing with them in the past, now they are still a couple and you just broke up. What is the point? Would it remind you of anything? Would it remind you of your ex? I am sure it will to some extent. Probably it is just a saying, probably it is just an activity you and he did with them before and lots of other things? So, this is not what you want. You want to escape from him. You want to go to a place where you meet new people and you want to go to the place you have nothing to remind you of your ex. All those things make it a bad idea to go with them.
If you still wonder that they are your friends and you should go with them. They want to help you out, and you should not refuse this help. Here is one more thing, which helps you make up your mind. Do you really want to forget your ex or do you just want to be with your friends and thinking of him all day long? If your answer is that you want to forget him, let's make the decision. I am sure if you are going on a vacation with them, for sure, you will think of him a lot. Because you want to escape from him, but now all you do is thinking of him and all those people remind you of the good and bad time you shared with your ex.
