Determination is the root of a desire to build a fully packed structure, with rock-hard muscles or a perfectly sculptured and well toned body.
Persistence is the drive that keeps the determination up. Persistence is the staying power after having an enthusiastic start. It is what makes a body builder progress from one demanding stage to the other, without braking from the discipline of workout and dieting. Almost every person desires to build the body and develop a healthy physic, but it is determination and patient persistence that differentiates the wannabe's from the body builders.
Research has established that determination and persistence are the most important ingredients by far in a body building program. Determination enables body builders to make key sacrifices that are necessary to developing and maintaining a perfectly built body. Without these two, body building will simply not happen. Majority of would-be body builders usually think that they have plenty of time to workout yet after failing to persist in a disciplined persistence, they end up giving excuses for not yet being in shape to the lack of time.
It is ironical that some of the most successful body builders are married, have children, and work in full time volitions coupled by various business interests and social responsibilities. Their only advantage is the possession of an insatiable desire, a consuming passion and an overcoming determination to build their muscles. A determined body builder would not abuse dietary supplements because he has patience to withhold the lure of shortcut methods. Such a body builder because of having faith in his natural ability will keep such substances as anabolic steroids and human growth hormones at bay because his determination to build a muscle packed body overrides ignorance of the health risks posed by such illegal substances after continued use. It is no wonder then, that most natural body builders who persist in intense training to championship levels have a very determined and resolute personality. It takes determination and persistence to lead the pack without falling prey to pricks promising miraculous achievements with minimal input.
The best possible advice that a budding body builder can be given at the start of a training program is to be passionately determined and to persistently stick to the desired goal amid monumental challenges and hardships that riddle the popular body building venture!
