Some of the "Sit-In Kayaks" have hatches built into the hull that gives you access to sealed compartments designed for storage. They usually have enough room in the cockpits for you to store much of your gear.
Performance is very important and something that you need to considered before choosing a kayak. The performance of a kayak includes its maneuverability. The way it performs will determine where you can go fishing. If it's hard to maneuver, then you may miss out on some of the fun and excitement that prompted you to buy the kayak in the first place.
