Almost every individual wants to attain that incredible physique or perfect body. A perfect body will not only enhance your health but may also lead to an improvement in your social life. Women are attracted to those men with big biceps and well formed abs. Men on the other hand can't help themselves when it comes to a woman who is lean in all the right places and also big in all the prefect places. If you look great and healthy you will actually feel great and this could in the process determine how successful you will be life. Thus to acquire that perfect physique you have to be well equipped with the art of building body mass.

Each and every individual is capable of improving on his body mass as long as he sets his mind into it. The power of the mind plays a very significant role in determining if you will be successful. As long as you surround yourself with the right information then you can achieve great results which surpass your expectations.

Lots of people follow the misconception that in order to grow muscle mass faster you should hit the gym and train continuously for many hours. Such information instills fear in your mind even before you begin the training program. In fact most people rarely even try and so they end up quitting even before they start.

If you spend a lot of time in the gym, this could actually make you lose weight instead of gaining mass. It is important at this stage to try and explain what is normally involved in the muscle building process. Lifting of heavy weights causes the muscle to strain beyond their current capacity. This in turn poses a great threat to the musculature of the body. As a result the body will thus respond by increasing in size i.e. the muscles will hypertrophy so as to offer protection against the impending threat.

If you increase the resistance daily the body muscles will adapt and begin to grow. However the muscles cannot grow bigger and stronger if they are not provided with adequate recovery time. Thus without enough recovery time, the muscle growth process will not be able to take place.

It might sound strange and out of this world but training less often will lead to an increase in body mass. This however does not imply you should train once a week but about three to four days in a week will be most appropriate .This is because you will provide the muscles with enough recovery time to enable them become bigger and stronger.

With this in mind your number one priority in order to increase your body mass should be to train with minimum intensity needed to produce the adaptive response. Working your muscles beyond their current capacity leads to the triggering of the adaptive response, after that your work is actually over. This is because if you cause any further stress to the body, you will get negative results in that you will lose body mass due to lack of recovery time.
