Do you read a lot? If so, do the authors, whose books you read, put a fire into your soul? If you find a writer that can make the words in their book jump out at you and catch and hold your attention throughout the whole story, this author will be one of the best.
There are several different types of writers, and each of these writers will write about all kinds of different subjects. They will have their own style and their own loyal readers. Some people like to read only certain kinds of books, and they won't go to different kinds of reading because it probably won't grab them like the ones that they like to read all of the time.
You will find books on romance, westerns, science fiction, and mystery. Then there are children's books and magazines of style, hair, sports, racing and boating. There are books for people who might want to learn how to take pictures or to help them master math. There are many, many types of books that cover every single topic you can think of. There will always be a style or kind of book that everyone will like to read.
Our schools are trying to get your children to love to read by giving them prizes for the number of books that they will read in that school year. Some of these prizes might be a trip to the zoo or maybe a pizza party. Some of these kids will really find that they like to read and will want to read all of the time, and some of these kids won't like the style of books that the school might want them to read. If it is not to their liking, they might not even read that book.
If you love to read and you read a lot, you better make sure that you read at the right time of day. Try not to read so late into the night because you will lose sleep. Some readers will even stay up until dawn if they are engrossed in a book. This will only end up hurting your eyesight and you will have to go to an optometrist for glasses. When you want to read, set a certain length of time to read. Do not go over this time limit, as this will help you save your eyes from becoming so tired and will allow you to catch up on your sleep.
