Playing a Warlock class character in World of Warcraft PvP makes you a powerhouse, especially in Arena play. Warlocks are downright nasty to fight against. With their ability to literally curse other classes to death, Warlocks are often feared, even hated, in Player versus Player combat. But they're not indestructible, and are vulnerable to any class of opponent, provided that opponent knows how to counteract the Warlock's abilities.
A Warlock in PvP is actually a simple class to play. The basic strategy is to hit an opposing charcter with tons of DoT (Damage Over Time) spells, then cast Fear on them repeatedly. Do this enough times and the opponent dies.
Warlocks also can drain mana from other characters and can regenerate their own health. On top of that, they can be optimized to be extremely dangerous against casters due to their Felhunter, a pet seemingly designed to slaughter mages. In short, a well trained Warlock can defeat any other character class.
A poorly trained Warlock, on the other hand, isn't going to last very long in PvP. With no combat ability outside their casting, Warlocks are at the mercy of any character that is able to drain their mana, remove their curses, or resist their fears. Knowing how to deal with such pesky opponents is a key to victory as a Warlock. This is where a quality Warlock PvP Guide comes into the picture.
Warlock PvP Guides are incredibly important. As a Warlock, you will find it almost impossible to defeat some classes without a well-honed strategy. You can either spend your time in battle (probably getting your butt kicked) trying to learn which strategies and tactics work against which class, or you can invest in a guide book.
For example, if a Priest succeeds in draining most of your Warlock's mana, it will be very hard to retaliate. Also, Priests and Paladins can remove your curses with their dispel abilities, taking away some of your most potent weapons. You need to know what each class will do against your Warlock, as well as how often they can use their counters against you.
A good Warlock PvP Guide will answer these questions for you. In general, your best bet to being successful with a Warlock in PvP is to combat directly against your foes using prebuilt strategies that can alter and adjust to fit your necessities.
This is why getting yourself a quality Shaman PvP Guide is so important. In a quality guide, you'll learn which strategies to use against which opponents. You'll learn what and when to cast against each class and how to respond to their attacks. You'll know how to take on all 9 classes in one on one duels, and what to do as part of a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.
Because a quality PvP Guide incorporates the hard-earned experience of veteran Warlocks, it will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. It will teach you the key things you need to know, saving you vast amounts of time and energy you would otherwise spend on trial and error. |
