So you get to the office, get your cup of coffee and sit down to start your day. Granted, creating these works of genius may in fact also be a waste of time (and kind of addictive), but it will likely get the point across.
Other effective hints might take even more effort, but drastic times call for drastic measures. Forwarding all the spam received in a day to the boss, and making them aware of how long it took you to sort through it all, sends a pretty aggressive, but un-ignorable message that this spam is getting in the way of the office's daily work and productivity.
And if all that doesn't work, well, then you could offer to make breakfast for the boss, and be sure to use as much Spam canned "meat" as possible on the menu. It is amazing how much not having to deal with reams of spam can improve everyone's mood, which may be another point to make when submitting any of these gems for consideration.
There are ever improving anti-spam packages available out there these days, and they can be as simple or complex as your organization needs. Garbage e-mail is easy to deal with if you have a good spam filter; otherwise it's robbing the company and employees of valuable time and resources. And who wants to start their day with male enhancement advertisements and cold coffee?
