Undoubtedly there are a lot of web marketing tools that are proven effective by a lot of marketers. Article marketing, blogging, video marketing, pay per clicks, are only a few of the popular methods used in web marketing and advertising that has eventually overshadowed the first few other methods such as e-mail marketing.
With the arrival of spam blockers and the spam filters, most marketers have given up e-mail marketing. Nowadays, it is somewhat proved difficult to get your message across e-mail to potential market audience, thus many marketers have probably lost their taste for e-mail marketing, especially the ones who are starting up a business.
The process involved in e-mail marketing might seem needless when compared to the other methods that most marketers are so hyped up about. But what these marketers don't know is that e-mail marketing is just as effective as article marketing, video marketing, and all the other methods that are all the rage right now.
E-mail marketing is actually a great follow-up tool for your business or website. Once you have established a reputation in your target market, perhaps have a steady stream of clients and there are several who are quite curious about your website, product, or service, then you already have a good list for your e-mail recipients.
Moreover, there are a lot of people who are absolutely eager to get answers and fast and are likely to look for ways to contact you. E-mail provides them with this opportunity while you are provided with the opportunity to remind them that your website exists through updates. Also, it is a great way to inform them of the promotional offers you are currently giving out to encourage and entice them to visit your site and purchase.
One thing that is important in the success of your e-mail marketing is to build a good list of e-mail recipients. One way to gather e-mail recipients is by giving the viewers, especially the patrons of your website the option to subscribe in your newsletters, this way, you already have list of recipients that are sure to read you e-mails. Or, you may provide you e-mail address on your website and encourage viewers to send you their questions, comments, and suggestions about your product or service directly.
So, once you have created a list, then you can simply send either daily, weekly, or monthly updates to your clients to keep them updated. This might seem like a lot of work for just one we marketing method but if you come to think of it, all the other method require just as much effort. And of course, there are several software programs for creating and maintaining e-mail lists and a few other features that can make your job a little easier. |
