Choosing what to wear is a notoriously difficult task. We all spend hours every week planning and trying on different clothes to ensure that we make the right impression at the right occasion. Despite the time and effort that we put into our clothing choices we all occasionally make the wrong decisions. We are often forced to pay for these poor fashion decisions when our friends publish the photos on facebook. "What was I thinking" you will say as you look at yourself in the photos.
"I thought it looked so much better than that in the mirror!". We have all been there and reliving your own fashion mistakes is something we all have to do now and then. However, it makes you wonder how supermodels manage to get it right so often. For some reason these models are always impeccable and never seems to get it wrong. Perhaps this is why they are so revered around the world. It is not just the fact that they are incredibly beautiful but also the fact that they dress well. Fashion is enabling more and more women the opportunity to look great and are there are now plenty of contenders to steal Britain's most popular supermodel crown off the beautiful. Many of these contenders have unconventional looks that suit high fashion.
The question is how can you be sure that you make the right fashion decision every time?
Try different things
The most effective way of ensuring that you always look great regardless of the occasion is to try as many different options on as possible. How many times have you tried on an item of clothing that you thought would look great and found out that it's not quite what you'd expected? I for one have done this many times.
So do not be afraid to try things on and experiment with as many different accessories that you have to hand. You never know you might find something totally unique that looks incredible. But you won't know if you don't try.
Wear what suits you
You may love those super skinny jeans or the big puffy jackets but if the latest style does not suit you you will end up looking stupid regardless of how fashionable the clothes are at that moment in time. Find flattering clothes. Pick items that you are comfortable and then experiment with different accessories to dress it up or down.
This rule also applies depending on the season. If you wanted to wear your favourite clothes they could look wrong if it is the wrong time of year. If you pull out those sexy little short shorts in the winter then you are going to get cold. Your legs wont look nearly as great when they've turned purple and blue from the cold. So make sure that your clothing is appropriate to the weather and season that you are in.
Dress for the occasion
Find the right clothes for the right occasion. If you think that your revealing top makes you look great then make sure that you are wearing it to the right event. Too much sex appeal to a funeral would not go down too well. If you are going for a job interview you need to be sure that the clothes make you look great but also make you look smart and respectable. So make sure that you have considered what type of clothes other people that you will be with will be wearing.
