An IP address is a unique number assigned to a computer by its internet service provider every time it connects to the internet and is expressed as a set of digits separated by decimal points. An IP address gives every computer on a network a unique identity that is used when sending and receiving information from other computers and web servers. When looking up IP location you can find out the country and region where the internet service provider is located, the name of the internet service provider who owns the IP address, and sometimes the specific city where the internet service provider is located. But, ultimately it is very beneficial to find a program that takes all the guesswork out of the process and automatically gives you the information you need. There are so many other things to worry about when you are a webmaster and removing unnecessary tasks can give you more time to focus on the more important things.
