You may be wondering why you're reading an article on how to get fat and put on weight, but people are doing these things every day. And they're also paying to do it, and to make it worse they're not intentionally trying to get fat and put on weight, they're just being duped by one of the latest fads or craze's.

People all over the world are conditioning their body to put on weight while their fad diet program, or supplement is telling them they're on their way to having the best body they're ever had. Millions of dollars are being spent every day on any one of these ways of getting fat.

The number one way to put on weight and get fat is go on a diet. A diet is perfect for telling your body you're starving yourself of vital calories and nutrients. The only way your body can deal with a diet is to store more fat. The human body has a natural defence mechanism against starving yourself and that's storing fat. Your body won't store muscle, it will eat your muscle to replace the calories your starving it of.

Sure, if you want to completely starve yourself you'll lose weight, but how long do you think you can starve your body of calories and vital nutrients for? You'll either turn anorexic, or you're going to start eating again, and when you do start eating again, the pounds will pile on. If you've tried to diet before then you will have already been in this situation.

Another excellent way to get fat, and probably the most expensive is appetite suppressants. These are taken so your brain tells your body that you're stomach is full so you don't want to eat. This is just the same as starving yourself it's just your paying $30 or $40 a month for the pills for that privilege.

When you starve your body, and it stores more fat it also loses muscle mass. These two things working in tandem cause your metabolism to slow down so then your body stores even more fat. While you're taking your pills this is not that much of a problem. It's when you stop taking the pills and start eating again that you notice the effects of what you've just done to your body.

You can't take the pills forever. If you did your body will repay you by having no energy to do anything, and your friends and family will probably go off of you because of the mood swings associated with your blood sugar levels being all over the place.

When you start eating normally again with your new slower metabolism your body will store all of the extra calories you're eating as fat. This new fat causes your metabolism to slow down even more so in the end you get fatter, and then your metabolic rates slows down some more.

A slower metabolic rate is made slower when you start another new diet to lose the weight your last diet has put on, and then this becomes what is called yo-yo dieting. You lose weight, you put on more, then you lose some more weight , and then you put on even more.

Diets and appetite suppressants are in no way beneficial to your health. All they do is slow down your metabolism, rob your body of vital nutrients and in the end shorten your life span. If you want to lose weight and enjoy a life filled with more energy and vitality then you'll give your body a boost by avoiding these two methods of losing weight.
