Wedding is not only about two individuals getting into the bond of holy matrimony but it is also about families getting into a relationship. At the actual event when the wedding is supposed to happen you need to make sure that everyone who comes is in a very happy frame of mind and wishes you well for the years ahead.
It is very easy to make a mistake when you are in such a rush to accomplish everything for the actual wedding day. An important part of that whole thing is the wedding invitations. Wedding invitations are important as that in itself translated in to what kind of planning you need to do.
It is after a numbers game and if you do no well in advance how many people are going to turn up then your planning can go for a toss. Therefore the wedding invitation etiquette demands that you send the wedding announcements well in advance and also send a save a date card.
An RSVP is a must so that you know that how many people are actually going to join in and also in turn you know then for how many people the seating and dining arrangement has to be done. If you have guests coming form far then you need to make stay arrangements for the same.
When you send wedding invitations make sure that you invite or name each one whom you wish to invite. For example if you have someone who is single but has a girlfriend then make sure that you invite the girlfriend specifically. A lot of people take this invite thing very seriously and you do not want to offend people simply by not following the proper etiquette.
Then there are minor things like sending the maps to the wedding venue or instructions for those people that are arriving by flights. All these things take small amount of time but are very much needed if you do not want top offend people sensibilities. Most of the tips are very common sense but in the whole gamut of activities these may get sidelined so you do need to pay close attention to these when you are planning things for the wedding event.
Relationships are very fragile by nature and following the etiquette is very important to maintain the relationships especially at the time of the marriage. So go ahead and send out the invites with close attention to details. |
