People go diving in the rivers all the time to find clams that have pearls in them or just to see what is down there. You will never know what you can find in the river. You can find cars, old houses, stores, barns, and other things that you wouldn't even think of. These things can be found there because of a flood from a broken dam that happened years ago or things that were wasted in there because of a flood. You can even find trains that are half way buried in that mud because of the water moving all the time. You can find things that are very old and you can get it out if it doesn't break apart before then. You have to be careful because there could be some very big mammals in there, and it can be very unstable. It can fall apart and land on you.

At the bottom of the Tennessee River there used to be a town called Johnsonville that was flooded by a dam, and they had to make a new one. There were houses, stores, and other things that were in that town that got flooded by water. There are still have some parts of it that didn't get taken be the flood, and it is a very small part of Johnsonville. There are also still some old roads and some foundations of houses that some had ammo in them for the army and other that people lived in. We have a small museum that has the stuff that was still in that area, like old canons and canon balls, wagons, and some other things that they found. You can still see the tops of some of the houses that are in the water. It is really neat to see that, but it is far away so you may need something to see it.

It even has plaques to tell you what had happened there, such as a battle or other historical event of significance. You can also walk down the roads to see what is down there and what is out of the water. They dive all the time to see if they can find anything. They want to see what may have come up from the mud and to see what is inside the house. They have a diving class for people that want to learn how to dive. They take you under the bridge and have you dive to find something that they have you find and if you see what they tell you to find, they know that you have done it. But you have to be careful when you dive. You need to know what you are doing when you do something like this.
