Windows operated computers often slow down as they get older just like their owners do. When you first start up your new computer it is fast and speeds along as you surf the internet. You click from one website to the next with no hesitation.

In other words your registry is loaded full of pieces of unwanted data which the operating system must thread it's way through while doing it's job of running the computer.

How should you go about this? All Windows operated computers have a function called regedit installed which is designed to be used for this purpose. So long as you are aware of what entries you should not remove and which items should be deleted you will not have a problem. Just delete the data you don't want in the registry and the job is done.
It seems to be really simple. But is it actually that easy? Are you sure you know which items cannot be removed the registry? Removing some of these entries could put your computer completely out of action. They are essential data needed to operate the computer. Some other entries may be needed to run programs. Can you really tell which is which? If you cannot tell it would be very unwise to try a manual registry cleanup.
There is an easier way however. There are a number of registry cleaning applications being offered on the internet. These programs all will do the job of cleaning your registry but some are definitely better than others.
