Ever been to a party with your spouse or a friend and found that someone there was giving off really good energy and you found yourself very drawn to them? Did you feel all warm and fuzzy inside the way you did when you were younger and would begin dating someone new? This can be an amazing experience if you are a monogamous person who has never strayed from your relationship. It can be very unexpected and you may not know how to respond to the fluttering of emotions that are going through your body.
There are many times in life when we connect with someone easily and instantly without trying. We generally are not open to these connections when we are in a committed relationship, but sometimes it knocks you over and it happens when you least expect it and definitely when you were not looking for it. How do you respond? What do you do?
Why not flirt harmlessly? Get to know them a little bit better if you had that instant connection? You don't have to act on it sexually, instead you can ignite the fires in your own relationship by taking the excitement and lust back to your spouse. You can flirt just enough to let the person know that you feel the same connection, but keep things on a friendly level.
Smile a lot, engage them in conversation, learn more about them, but don't cross the line. It is fun to explore these connections and feel the excitement that you felt when you first met your spouse. You may find that you can even extend these connections out over time every time you see them, but remember to always stay on the friendly side of the line. Never allow for things to get physical and never put yourself in the position where you may do something that you regret. If they don't know, let them know that you are in a committed relationship and that you want to keep it that way. They may be in a relationship too, and you may find that you can both take the excitement of the connection back to your relationships.
Connecting when you are already connected is not uncommon. There are just some people that we seem to click with or that we connect with better than others. This may be based a lot on the way that we look but it also may be based on the things that we like to do, the energy that we put out there, or things that you cannot even quite put your finger on. Don't fight the connection, but remember to always behave in a way that you would want your spouse to when you are with this person.
