These volunteers went ahead for taking computer-administered memory test (short-term) known as ‘Sternberg Memory Scanning Test’.
The volunteers, i.e. women between ages twenty-five and forty were shown 1 to 3 digits on computer screen. Thereafter, they were shown huge string of the digits. Volunteers then depicted whether any of first digits went on to appear in 2nd long string. Time taken by volunteer to have remembered was accessed then. Women took around 700 milliseconds on an average to respond. This was the result on placebo. However, with Vinpocetine these women went on to average within the average time span of < 450 seconds. |
