Have you ever watched someone totally bomb a date because they just were not confident. How many times have we been or seen that "un-cool" person totally bomb a date because they just didn't know how to behave? You can learn to be confident, and you need to be confident if you are going to have a chance at a second date.
There are some things that come off as decidedly unconfident. Some of these include:
Tense body language
Quavering voice
Lack of communication skills
Fidgeting
These are all things that come off as unconfident when you are on a date, even if they are just being caused by first date nerves. You are going to give a very bad first impression when you behave like this. You need to do some serious looking into yourself and see where you can improve. You can often change the way you behave on a date by working on yourself and considering the way that you think about yourself as well as the world around you.
When you look at your beliefs about things you may find that it is those beliefs that are holding you back, and you can adjust them as needed. You can also make sure that you are as healthy mentally as you are physically. Also, remind yourself that dating is supposed to be fun and what your date thinks of you really doesn't have to make or break who you are or your overall life experience.
When you stop and think about all of these things and make the appropriate changes, suddenly you'll be come across as the confident person that you want to be and that you can be. When you look inward and you are truly comfortable with your beliefs and your experiences past and present, suddenly you'll be able to walk, talk, interact, and behave as the confident person that you are.
Changing the way you behave with strangers or someone that you don't know well can be difficult, but you can do it. We often feel as though the person that we are dating is just "wrong" but the fact is that when we are right with ourselves, suddenly our dating possibilities will open up and we'll find that we can date and have fun with a wide range of people.
While you may not have a long term relationship with every person that you ever date, when you approach each situation with confidence you'll find that you can have a good time with just about anyone because you enjoy just being with yourself, and that feeling will be contagious!
