. Here time is your own and you work at your own speed and take time off when you need to and quicken up where you find the course study simpler.
. You have the luxury of arranging your study to your job timings and home needs.
. You will learn self-discipline, although the hard way and build up your self esteem when you congratulate yourself on finishing the course.
. You will not meet the students who have any negative impact on you or distract you from your studies.
. You can focus more on parts of the study that hold your interest
. You can complete the diploma quicker than regular schools if you are able to, and have the capacity.
. There is a great saving in expenses, and traveling time to class.
. If you have health or physical concerns or conditions that keep you out or are unable to attend school, then this form of learning is ideal for you.
THE CONS:
. Many online schools do not have the atmosphere and enjoyments of high schools, meaning the parties, school events on graduation, etc.
. Many studies and parts of the courses like written work and mathematics needs a personal tutor, which you will miss.
. You will miss the teacher's inspiration pushing you on and motivating you further to finish your assignments.
. You will miss interacting with your professor on a daily basis and giving him your feedback on how you understood the matter.
. Online learning could affect you, making you a loner and you lose out on mixing with people.
. Take utmost care to see that your school is recognized and reputable; if not some companies will not accept their diplomas and neither will a university. If your school is not recognized, then you are wasting money.
. Many students procrastinate. They do not develop the discipline to put their heads down and complete their studies. They think there is always tomorrow and they fail in this area. Avoid this by setting targets and day-by-day timetables to get that much study done.
. Employers are wary of those who have done their education through the Internet. A lot of them are unsure of the great progress made by online teaching so far. Avoid mentioning that you studied this way to save yourself some difficulties.
. You may not get the credits you deserve due to various reasons.
. You may not be fully aware of help in your studies right there and present on the Internet. Ensure you find out sites that give you books, materials, researching helps etc.
