Applying for credit cards nowadays is probably one of the easiest things to do since the Internet empire was created. You can do this in several easy steps. First, you're going to want to figure out what type of card you want such as MasterCard, Discover, or Visa then you're going to want to look online for different credit cards sites. Now you can do one of two things; go directly to the card manufacturer such as MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover or look for sites that offer all sorts of card guides. These guides will give you a list of credit cards available along with all their stats such as fees, APR, maximum amount etc. I personally like and recommend these sites because you have all the information your looking for in one place! You can also compare cards on this site which is great for you!
You can also find the card you want by looking for the bank its from if you prefer to try it that way. Banks such as Citibank, HSBC, Bank Of America, Washington Mutual, Advanta, New Millenium Bank and many more offer these cards. Just look on the sites for the "cards by bank" section!
The next step, you're going to want to take is the easiest to do and that is filling out the credit card application. For the credit card application they are going to ask you a few personal questions such as how much you make per month, how much you make per year, Social Security number, and even your mothers maiden name. Don't be afraid to enter in this information, this information is only asked for two reasons. The first reason is to make sure that the person filling out the card is really you for security reasons. The second reason is because they need to know your credit card history, or your debt history.
For those of us with bad credit. Its almost and possible to apply for a credit card and be accepted. However, there are certain credit cards that will allow you to apply and will accept you if you do have bad credit.
