Costa Calida is a 250-km strip of land along the Mediterranean in the Murcia province. Murcia is the ninth largest province of Spain, at least in terms of area. There's even an old temple to the Phoenician god Melqart. These ruins are some of the most interesting in the entire province of Murcia.
Another city in this area with a rich history is Mazzaron. The Town Hall and Former Culture Center are prime examples of the Modernist style popular in the early twentieth century, and the Church of San Andreas features sixteenth century architecture. The ruins of the Castle of the Valez family are another great study in Spanish history.
Costa Calida features ancient ruins, a thriving nightlife and hundreds of kilometers of beaches. Holiday travelers will find all their curiosities stimulated in every one of the cities lining Costa Calida.
