So you have finally decided to move or relocate your house or flat. Now comes the fun part. Yes that's right packing can be great and enjoyable, a few tips to make your life that much easier during this stressful time is as follows.
Firstly you should sit down with a pen and paper and put together a list of things which you feel you need to take. It is best to do this way in advance, by this I mean at least two weeks, so that you do not forget what you are going to take. You should separate everything into categories and label each box or bag so that when you come around to unpacking it will all be fully organised.
A very important aspect while moving is not to wait right until the last second and then start running around like a headless chicken. Because do you know what will happen? You will probably end up breaking a lot of valuable items, and not to mention forgetting where you have put things and leaving items behind. I know that thinking about moving will cause your stress levels to rise but the sooner you get everything done the easier it will turn out for you. Just remember not to keep putting it off.
One thing I would recommend is don't overload your boxes, think of it this way if people keep on making you carry heavy things your back will go one day. A box is exactly the same if you make it too heavy there's all the chance that the bottom will collapse and all of your belonging will be ruined. Another great tip to make life easier would be to mark all of your boxes like there's no tomorrow, just keep on marking and ticking off your checklist this way it will be impossible to forget any items.
If you are busy with work and other commitments I would consider hiring packing professionals, they will supply the boxes and label everything up in categorical order so that you know where everything is. Finally packing can be stressful but it does not need to be, if you just get yourself organised from the beginning and plan your every move I believe everything will go to plan. In the end how do the professionals do it day in day out? Because they are well prepared and well planned.
